Originally from Jamaica West Indies, Dahlia has lived in United States for the last 30+ years. Shortly after migrating to the United States, Dahlia joined the Louisiana Army National Guard. She served 25+ years with one deployment to Iraq in 2005-2006 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. While pursuing a career as a Citizen Soldier, Dahlia earned a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix in 2003. Dahlia’s career has included Logistics and Human Resource Management, Public Relations, and an Entrepreneur. As Owner of a Health and Wellness Company - RefresH2O Water LLC dba Precise Body Image, the company provides products and services to individuals in pursuit of Health and Wellness, optimal hydration, and environmentally concerned individuals.
Dahlia has a passion for the well being of children. Her experience working with children includes raising two active and creative children of her own, taking great joy in watching them develop their fitness, musical and theatrical abilities. Playing an active role in her community, Dahlia volunteered at several daycare facility arts education programs as an arts and craft coordinator to introduce children to famous works of art; at the local community hospital and as a soccer coach. Besides a love of the arts, she also has a penchant for outdoor activities including cycling, hiking, walking, tens, overall fitness, and health and wellness.
To give-back to the community, Dahlia founded KidZ Fitness SolutionZ INC. Non-Profit Organization which offers programs geared in preventive health of overweight and obese children. As KidZ Fitness SolutionZ Executive Director, Dahlia wears many hats during the summer maintaining a state of fitness for adults and children to enjoy. Throughout the rest of the year, her roles includes helping to recruit program participations and volunteer staff, marketing, communicating with interested families, and working to continuously explore ideas to bring Re/FresH – Mind, Body, and Sprit and KidZ Fitness SolutionZ to new heights.
